The British-Ghanaian designer, who has a store on London’s exclusive Savile Row, has dressed the star before. Foxx wore Boateng suits to several of the premieres for the hit movie Django Unchained.

Foxx chose not to wear a tie with the suit, however he did wear a pair of dark glasses to complete the look.

The designer, born to Ghanaian parents in London, first came to the fashion world’s attention at Paris Fashion Week in 1994. He opened his boutique on Savile Row in 1995; and a flagship store at 30 Savile Row in 2008.

Boateng has a long-standing relationship with Hollywood, having designed bespoke costumes for several blockbusters. Movies he has designed costumes for include: Oceans 13, Lock Stock and Two Smoking Barrels, Tomorrow Never Dies, Alfie, Sex and the City, Ugly Betty, Gangster Number One, The Matrix and Miami Vice.
