Both Manchester United and Manchester City tasted defeats at the weekend. David Moyes side suffered their third defeat in the league and first league defeat to West Bromich Albion at Old Trafford since 1978, marking United’s worst start to a campaign in 24 years. City were also denied points at Villa Park.

The biggest match of the weekend was in North London as Spurs entertained Chelsea. It was not just a London derby but a game which saw old colleagues battling each other for tactical superiority. A second half header from John Terry saved Mourinho from experiencing defeat in the hands of his former apprentice.

SAS (Suarez and Sturridge) combined well to produce a wonderful performance at the Stadium of Light to down Sunderland 3goals to 1. Football fans don’t seem to believe in the partnership of SAS but such a selfless piece of performance by Danny at the weekend will surely trouble the league defenders.
